Our ethos and vision for all of our pupils

The Greenwell Academy community is built on kindness, respect, responsibility, and safety.  We are a supportive school for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. At Greenwell, we foster an ethos of respect, kindness and confidence, and we empower our students to build this confidence in themselves and their abilities, recognising and celebrating each student’s unique strengths within a framework of mutual respect.

Here at Greenwell Academy, we aim to develop students’ academic attainment by closing gaps in learning, providing targeted interventions and tailoring the curriculum to meet individual interests and strengths. We guide our students towards a sense of responsibility, helping them navigate challenges and make positive choices. 

We prioritise creating a safe and nurturing environment at our school where every student feels accepted, valued and able to flourish. Through our holistic approach, we enable students to gain academic, social and emotional skills, enabling them to be independent and lead successful and happy lives.
